What is a TN-Visa?
The TN nonimmigrant classification (TN-Visa) permits qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens to seek temporary entry into the United States to engage in business activities at a professional level. The visa was created under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), formerly known as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), to create special economic and trade relationships for the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Who can qualify for a TN-Visa?
TN-Visas are available for those who are citizens of Mexico or Canada and whose profession is included in the USMCA. The position in the United States must require a USMCA professional to work in a prearranged full-time or part-time job for a U.S. employer or entity. Qualifications to practice in said profession must be met for TN-Visa eligibility.
